  • Something Good



Today during Math we talked about things we did in class during the first trimester. Everyone had a chance to share with the class about "something good" for them since the start of second grade. We practiced listening and praising others during this activity.




  • Test on Friday



We will have our Chapter 4 Test this Friday, November 20th. The test will cover problem solving using charts and graphs, along with the different types of graphs and tables we have been learning about.

For each of these types of graphs and tables you will be asked to identify the type and read information from each to answer questions. Tomorrow we will send home the Math notebooks and folders to begin studying for the test.

Hoy durante matemàticas hablamos sobre cosas que hicimos en clase durante el primer tremestre. Todo el mundo tuvo la oportunidad de compartir con la clase "algo bueno" para ellos desde que empezamos segundo grado. Practicamos la escucha y los elogios a otros durante esta actividad.




  • Evaluaciòn el viernes


Tendremos nuestra evaluaciòn del capitulo 4 este viernes, 20 de Noviembre. La evaluaciòn cubrirà soluciòn de problemas usando cuadros y gràficos, con diferentes tipos de gràficos y tablas sobre las que hemos estado aprendiendo.

*OUR 2B RESPONSIBILITY GOALS FOR THE 2ND TRIMESTER*




1. I will come to school with all of my materials each day. I need my pencil case, a pencil sharpener, a pencil, 12 colored pencils and an eraser everyday.




2. I will be responsible with my pencil case by always keeping it in my table bucket while I don´t need it. I will make sure it is closed and put away everyday before I leave school.




3. I will be responsible with my homework. I will complete ALL of my homeowrk each night. I will put my homework in the (white) basket every morning (right away) when I get to school. I will ask questions when I do not understand something.




4. I will be responsible with my Reading Log. I will complete at least 20 minutes of reading in English every night and have Mom or Dad sign my Reading Log after I read and write the title and minutes on my log. I will put my Reading Log in the box every morning (right away) when I get to school.




5. I will be responsible with my Agenda. I will ask Mom or Dad to sign my Agenda every night after I complete all of my homework and have showed them my complete work. I will put my Agenda in the (orange) basket every morning (right away) when I get to school.




6. I understand that listening to others is an important way to learn new things.




7. I understand that respecting others is an important thing to do. When I respect others, I will learn many new things. I can show respect to others by listening, praising, paying attention and being a good friend.




6. I understand there will be consequences for my actions, should I choose not to complete my homework, listen, or show respect to others in class. This consequence is a 15-minute detention during my recess (9:00-9:15).




7. I understand that Miss Jill and Miss Luza can help me if I have questions about what to do for homework. I know when to ask these questions and how to get help if there is something I do not know how to do.

If you have written that you need something, please bring these school tools to school as soon as possible so you are ready for all assignments we are doing in class.}
