  • Subtracting with Regrouping

Today we are continuing to work on subtracting with regrouping. Today we subtracting with two 2-digit numbers, for example: 31-12. Show your work by completing a workmat and number problem with regrouping if you need to, in your notebook for each problem on the "story problems" side of the worksheet. Remember to subtract in the tens and the ones columns when you are drawing and crossing out your pictures.

  • Resta con reagrupación

Hoy continuamos trabajando en resta con re agrupación. Hoy restamos con dos dígitos, por ejemplo: 31-12. Muestra tu trabajo en tu cuaderno para cada problema que hay en la guía en la parte de problemas, completando el cuadro "workmat" y el problema con reagrupacion si necesitas. Recuerda restar en las columnas de decenas y unidades cuando estés pintando y trazando una linea sobre los dibujos que necesites.

  • Find a country on a map.

Tonight at home, look at a map of the world and find one country that you would like to share in class tomorrow. You need to know the name of the country and where it is on a world map.

Show Mom and Dad your Science test about dionsaurs. Talk about what you did well and the things you need to keep practicing. Great work to everyone on this test! We know a lot about dinosaurs and the Earth long ago!

Muestrale a mamá y papá tu evaluación de ciencias sobre los dinosaurios. Habla sobre las cosas que hiciste bien y las cosas que necesitas seguir practicando. Todos hicieron un excelente trabajo en esta evaluación! Sabemos mucho sobre los dinosaurios y la tierra hace mucho tiempo!

  • Bring your library books tomorrow and an EXTRA, HEALTHY snack tomorrow for our field trip.

We will be visiting another school (8:00-10:30) to get to know others in our community and to celebrate the differences between us. The school we will be visiting has children that are not as fortunate as we are, therefore we will be learning about the things they learn, the ways they learn, and seeing school from a different perspective. We have been talking about respect and tolerance in second grade this year, so we would like to use this opportunity for our students to apply all of the things they have learned about RESPECT and TOLERANCE in this new environment, with people who are different than them.

For the extra snack, please send the same (HEALTHY) things you are sending for your child, for our friends at the school we are visiting. Thank you so much!

Estaremos visitando otro colegio (8-00-10:30) para conocer otras personas de nuestra comunidad y para celebrar las diferencias entre nosotros. El colegio que estaremos visitando tiene niños que no son tan afortunados como nosotros, sin embargo estaremos aprendiendo sobre cosas que ellos aprenden, las formas en que las aprenden, y ver el colegio desde una perspectiva diferente. hemos estado hablando sobre respeto y tolerancia en segundo este año, entonces nos gustaría usar esta oportunidad para que nuestros estudiantes apliquen todas las cosas que han aprendido sobre RESPETO y TOLERANCIA en este nuevo medio, con personas que son diferentes a ellos
